The value of sustainability is directly influenced by the positive and negative impacts that the company produces with its activities, products and services. But to be sustainable, it is not enough to plant trees or save on electricity or water bills, but to have and apply a structured knowledge of the impacts that really make a difference.

The fundamental issues of sustainability are motivation and communication, as the knowledge that generates the commitment of all the people involved in our company on activities related to sustainability and the SDGs is the indispensable piece to make a difference. It's the difference between being written down on paper and putting it into practice. And the Marmòris group wants to make that difference.

We want to focus on sustainability and have a greener image to commit to being a more sustainable company and, at the same time, improve efficiency and create a closer relationship with our customers, promoting their loyalty.

For this reason, Sintra Marmòris Palace and Sintra Marmòris Camélia decided to contribute to the concept of “Friendly Hospitality” by implementing good sustainable practices and starting to comply with the requirements established in the Biosphere Sustainable Lifestyle framework to obtain the seal Biosphere Certified.

The Alentejo Marmòris Hotel & Spa is certified since 2021 by the Biosphere Sustainable Lifestyle and year after year it has been renewing this certification and taking further steps forward in what is a long but pleasant path, to improve its sustainable practices in all its departments and with the help of all its employees.
